Coaches Kenny Hoffpauir and Barry Boren established Texas Prep Basketball School in 2003.

After working at the highly regarded Snow Valley Basketball School in Santa Barbara, CA (founded in 1961 by Herb Livsey), their passion was to bring a version of what they experienced to the state of Texas.

 

The vision came to fruition when Hoffpauir and Boren were able to secure the facilities of Texas A&M - Commerce through head men's basketball coach Sam Walker. With Walker also being brought in as an additional director, the camp was ready to take off.

 

Texas Prep has always prided itself on remaining true to the tradition of great instruction that took place over the years at Snow Valley.

 

To this end, Hoffpauir and Boren worked tirelessly to bring in quality instructors from throughout Texas, in addition to well respected basketball figures with Snow Valley experience.
